Here’s the first Live P.A. i’ve done in six years (or more). It was recorded last month at Proper Sundays, a small party on a Sunday afternoon above the Proper Reserve clothing store on Queen St. W. in Toronto.
For half the set I did a live remix of the Dark Side of the Moon album by Pink Floyd. I chose Dark Side because it was a way to give me some direction with using the live set system I have been building over the past year.
I used a Novation Launchpad a Korg NanoKontrol to work with Ableton Live. Over the course of about a day, I went in to all the tracks on the album and warped or chopped them up. Then I added some of my own keyboard parts to complete the tracks. Some of the tunes have about seven tracks running simultaneously.
Thanks to the Preacherman for recording the set that day!
