Jaidene Veda - Pisces Pendulum
Even though I am able to post a lot of my own work on this site, I don’t often take enough time to showcase the work i’ve done with others. I’m trying to change that though.
I met Jaidene about five years ago in Vancouver while were at the Vancouver Film School studying Sound Design for Visual Media. After the year was over, and we all dispersed around the continent, I started collaborating with her on some music.
I did a remix for the track Sunday, but it ended up getting shelved on the original release. It was later re-released by Milk N 2 Sugars and more recently, Jimpster has done his own remix of the track which is pretty slick if you ask me!
Jaidene reposted my mix lately and I asked if we could make it a free download, which she was happy to do for me. So you can grab that.
Then we did a single called In Luv in a Luv Song. That one got shelved for a while too, but some time last year it was officially released on Nick Holder’s DNH Records with remixes by Holder and Jason B. It was well received, but my production on this was more on the loungy side rather than something good for the dancefloor.
This year, Jaidene her second full-length E.P., and on it she included another collaboration we did called Liar. It’s probably the best work i’ve done with her. I am hoping to get another crack at the can in remixing this one because I really like it and i’ve grown a lot musically over the years. We will see what’s going to happen with it.
Jaidene is a very visual musician, and she enjoys making music videos for her tracks. She has also been fortunate to receive a lot of exposure, having tunes played by everyone from Tiesto with her progressive tracks to just about every top deep house DJ that I can name. With the release of this new album, I think she will only continue to find more success moving forward.
